DATE & TIME: DECEMBER 16th. 7:00 pm (CET, spanish time).
This presentation explores how serious games can serve as powerful tools for learning and engagement in project environments. They help stakeholders -from executives to junior team members- experience project decision-making in a realistic yet risk-free setting. By simulating real project dynamics such as uncertainty, stakeholder pressure, trade-offs, and change, participants see the impact of their choices firsthand.
Practical examples contrast agile and traditional (waterfall) approaches, showing how each influences financial, risk, and performance outcomes. Serious games turn abstract project management principles into tangible, shared experiences that promote understanding, engagement and reflection.
Attendees will gain actionable insights for integrating serious games into project and portfolio management. The session highlights how these tools can enhance engagement, strategic decision-making, and cross-functional alignment.
It is especially valuable for senior project and portfolio managers seeking innovative, evidence-based methods to involve non-project professionals in meaningful decisions.
