An interesting question that some of my students have been asking lately is whether they should spend time studying for the PMP® Exam or concentrate on studying for the PMI-ACP® Exam. In response to this question I give one of my favorite answers as an instructor – “Well…. it depends!” You might as well ask me "Should I get a Master’s Degree in Mathematics or Physics?” Or "Should I become a Painter or a Philosopher?"

Cada vez se reconoce más que un entendimiento adecuado del apetito de riesgo es una influencia vital para el desempeño organizativo. Esto es soportado por los reguladores que esperan que las juntas directivas entiendan y expresen su apetito de riesgo, y algunos ejecutivos senior en el conjunto de las organizaciones del sector público y privado ya están tomando el liderazgo en este área.

La experiencia nos muestra que la gente escucha mejor si el mensaje se presenta de forma atractiva, y contar historias es una forma poderosa de alcanzar esa meta. Una historia contada de forma expresiva llama la atención del que escucha y crea imágenes vivas es sus mentes que ayudan a entender y a la retención y refuerzo del mensaje.

Making the PMBOK(R) Guide fun
Congratulations, you have started the Project Management Institute Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)® application process and you are preparing to take the PMI-ACP Exam. Wonderful career move! PMI-ACP certification is highly sought after in both challenging and prosperous economic times. It is the recognition of “an individual’s expertise in using agile practices in their projects, while demonstrating their increased professional versatility through agile tools and techniques.” (Project Management Institute) As part of the application process, each candidate is required to submit experience performing activities covered under both general project experience and agile specific project experience, and then pass a three-hour / 120 question PMI-ACP Exam.
