 ¿Se puede afirmar categóricamente que existen eventos de riesgo cuyo suceso es imposible?

La pregunta es la base del presente artículo y  pretende fomentar la discusión sobre las posibles respuestas. Algunos pensarán que sí, que existen eventos de riesgo que son materialmente imposibles de suceder; otros pensarán que no, que nada es imposible si no improbable, mientras que otros pensarán que depende del evento.

Cuando se identifica un riesgo, su cualificación depende de los ojos del que lo percibe, es decir, de su actitud frente al riesgo, determinada por su experiencia, conocimiento, factores conscientes, inconscientes e, incluso, afectivos. Por lo tanto, lo que para algunos podría parecer un evento imposible y que no tiene ningún sentido analizar, para otros puede resultar un evento totalmente posible convirtiéndose en una auténtica preocupación.
